New in 2004, is a PAC public school and community initiative to support excellence in arts education. In partnership with Framingham Public Schools and the Framingham Arts and Music Excellence (FAME) initiative, PAC is offering on-site private and semi-private music lessons at the middle school level. This extension program has several goals. It is designed to build on introductory instrumental instruction in grades four and five in the Framingham Public Schools, encourage advanced instrumental study and achievement, and support the growth of Framingham's middle and high school orchestras and bands. These lessons are offered at slightly reduced PAC class rates to encourage participation, and each participating student also receives a complimentary PAC membership for the school year.
